It’s going to take some time. I submitted 1004x for 22, 23 and 24 back in mid-Feb. I finally received a notice in the mail on Monday stating the 23 1004x was being sent to another IRS dept. Still waiting on 22 and 24 notifications. Now it’s another 60 days for the 23s.

The K1 is addressed in The Jurat Rebuttal video around the 1:25 mark. He doesn’t specifically speak to line 17. That’s a good question. My experience says Box 17 isn’t necessarily related to income if you review the statement it’s referencing.

One would assume you check the Amended Return box if you are filing an Amended Return.

You wouldn’t need an amended 1040-X for 2025, only the 1040 2025. Amended returns are for correcting returns that have already been filed. When you file for 2025 you’ll follow the CTC method, and you’ll have to do this on your own independent of a tax service. The videos for the CTC Method and the Live Q&A do a great job of explaining…

I was just watching the Live Q&A video. The 1040-X is only to be used if you are amending a previous year’s filed return. If you haven’t filed a return for 2023 you’ll want to use the specific Form 1040 for the year 2023. Here’s the link to the 2023 1040: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040–2023.pdf
