Stocks and Crypto
Hi friends,
I completed the CTC course this time last year, received a big refund check plus interest and paid $0 last year. We’re at that time again this year where I would love to just send NOTHING and have the IRS forget I exist. However, this year they are going to receive more 1099-INT’s from banking institutions with my sole prop’s EIN than ever before. What is the process for stock and crypto trades each year? Am I supposed to send off Jurat Rebuttals on all of these for the rest of my life? There’s a bunch of other people teaching different methods where you just never file anything again. Just wondering what the recommendation would be here for things like: Robinhood, Coinbase, SOFI etc stock/crypto profits and interest dispursements

Love hearing these stories! I will be completing the CTC course and plan to file in the next few weeks. I do also have lots of Crypto transactions and would be interested in hearing more about those recommendations. Thanks!

I don’t know of an official answer yet, but I asked a related question on the February group call if you weren’t on it, there should be a recording posted.

Congratulations! I am still waiting for IRS responses.

@philgalileodavinci-com for which tax year? I just realized that they received my 1040X for year 2022 on March 3rd of last year….and it’s still sitting in “received” status. They approved my 2023 1040x with no problems but 22 and 24 are just sitting there doing nothing.
