HELP! Frivolous Return Program
Hi, I recently sent in my 1040x and when I heard back from the IRS they responded saying that the another office would be better suited to handle my request. …and that other dept. is the “Frivolous Return Program.” Has anyone had this happen or have ideas as to how to respond? I had never heard of the FRP before either, but doing some reddit searches it seems this is definitely a thing. The general consensus is that this department handles challenges to the constitution or sovereignty of the filer. Freedom people, is this a scare tactic? How do we your clients handle this?
