Hello Andrea, I saw you post in the LAW group about land patents and the method espoused by Ron Gibson. I had replied that this was interesting and since have looked into the book by Ron recommended in the LAW book section. After doing some basic online reading ,I’d thought I’d share some of the links I found. The first is a thread from https://www.treasurenet.com/threads/what-you-need-to-know-about-land-patents-ron-gibson.625711/ which has some points that would counter Ron’s premise; “Ron Gibson claims that creating a land patent and issuing to yourself will render your land exempt from foreclosure, property taxes and emminent domain. But, this is not so.”
I found the arguments pretty strong and encourage you to read what courts have said about this issue.
There is a guy who was sentenced to years in prison for selling bogus land patent “protections” against foreclosure. Not saying Ron is doing this, but it’s in the same vein. The first link is very informative and has many relevant links to court cases on the subject.
Ron has some two plus hour (one is over 6 hrs) long videos on the topic, but i just did a cursory search before I committed hours of time if might be a dead end rabbit hole. There may be a way to lawfully avoid property taxes, but this doesnt look like it’s it. I tried to reply in the group thread, but cannot for some reason.
