I had never heard of the FRP before either, but doing some reddit searches it seems this is definitely a thing. The general consensus is that this department handles challenges to the constitution or sovereignty of the filer. Freedom people, is this a scare tactic? How do we your clients handle this?

Hi Jeff. Yes, thank you for your time and call. It helped a lot and put my mind at ease a bit. Unfortunately, the number they gave was not to a specific “frivolous return” phone line. I was on hold 3.5 hours, multiple people, etc. he put me on hold and then disconnected the line. I called back and spent another 2.5 hours to get get someone else that said there might have been just a line item error and to just wait until they contact me. It was a whole day wasted and I am still just waiting at this point. I would like to try and call again but I cannot spend the whole day on hold.
