Has anyone recieved the IRS notice CP59 which is a general letter stating that I need to file my tax return. Im thinking about taking the CTC course and filing using that method but im curious if anyone else has recieved this notice and what they did in response to that.

I just got the same thing. Not sure what the next move is.

Thanks for sharing Ryan. Mine referenced year 2024. I didnt file in 2023 but I never received this notice. I dont think not responding is good because from what I read they will calculate tax owed and not include and deductions, credits , etc. Is there a letter the freedom people recommends to send? Im assuming there are many who have received this same generic letter.

I also received this notice. I had a consult with the freedom people and took the steps they gave me in the short term but recommended CTC long term as a remedy. Going through the process now. I responded to the CP59 and got a response letter stating I need to file my tax return within 30 days or “they may file for me” with no deductions. – i am going to follow the CTC steps.

Where can I find the templates for the CTC so I can do the same

It sounds like several people have received this letter, and from what I’m hearing, whether you respond or not, a follow-up notice is still being issued requiring filing within 30 days, or they will calculate whatever taxes they feel you owe.
The CTC course is currently listed under the Shop tab. Could you share any additional insight into what you’ve been seeing with the CP59 letter and how others are handling it? I think this would be helpful for everyone so we can learn together the best way to navigate this.
Also, if someone has paid for the White Glove service, does that include access to the CTC course? -
its standard boilerplate sent when they don’t know what to do with your return.
