• Frivolous Return Program

I’ve been waiting for a long time to hear from the IRS concerning my admended return for 2022,2023. Today I received a letter thanking me for my inquiry and they were sending my inquiry to the Frivolous Return Program, and they will be contacting me within 60 days.

Has anyone else received a letter like this? I don’t know if I should wait the 60 days to see what they say or respond with a letter of my own?

      • I’ll be curious to hear what the response is, another group I belong to that talks a lot about using Equity to discharge things said members have gotten this notice and they simply Accepted and returned the notice and never heard back, so I”m guessing this is just a standard thing they send but I dont’ know,..

      • Hey Don, one idea if you don’t hear anything about this is to try the website of the guy who wrote the CTC book. He posts examples of people’s success stories and correspondence, if there was any, that may be helpful to look at. I’m pretty sure I saw some that got a similar letter about frivilous returns.

On the call today Jeff referred us to The lost horizons website. I found this article there on why the IRS is perpetrating this Hoax about “Frivolous return Penalties. Lots here:

          It’s time to dig in.

          • I received the same letter and have not heard a thing since. Way past 60 days now. I called and the agents have no way to contact the frivolous department and said to just wait. I send a certified letter demanding them to process my 1040x as it was submitted. still waiting.
