Julia, I apologize for not responding sooner! I need to get into the daily habit of bringing this site up, so that I don’t miss wonderful opportunities like this to connect with like minds. What a great question! I think my favorite thing that I have learned from Peggy Hall is a statement I’ve heard her make many times – “There is always another way, and I am going to find it. There is always another way, and I am going to find it.” This affirmation of sorts has echoed in my mind many times to help me keep moving forward when I have been weary or discouraged. She has helped me to remain focused on seeing solutions instead of how big the obstacles may be.

As far as what made me want to look for people not muzzling themselves, it was an overpowering gut/intuitive feeling, which I personally believe is the Holy Spirit. From day one, minute one, I had this strong sense that something was not right about any of this and nothing about it was adding up. To me, any so-called power outside of myself that is forcing something upon me and others is not good. Freedom flows through every part of my being and this whole thing is an assault on that at every conceivable level. I was driven to find others not muzzling themselves so that I could learn how to navigate the tyranny in order to continue moving about freely. I hope this makes sense.

With asking if I’ve had some type of experience that prompted this, there could be an aspect of trauma too because to me, anything covering our faces is dehumanizing, along with their “social distancing,” and lack of physical contact. I had alarms going off inside me about where this is all headed and how humanity was going to be affected, most especially our precious children. From my perspective, the masks represent mass control and I have been in too many situations in my life where that has been the case, but thankfully I have been able to break free. With that being said, I’ve never seen it on this level, so that also compelled me to seek others out.
