How long to hear from IRS?
I submitted an amended 1040x, cover letter, other docs for 2022 tax return before the April 15 deadline. I have not heard or received anything from the IRS. How long does it take? Are they just avoiding me? Share your experience plz!

Should we create an ID.me account to check status on our Amended Tax Filing?
I’m curious as well. I submitted my 2022 prior to April 15th and I haven’t heard anything either.

It’s going to take some time. I submitted 1004x for 22, 23 and 24 back in mid-Feb. I finally received a notice in the mail on Monday stating the 23 1004x was being sent to another IRS dept. Still waiting on 22 and 24 notifications. Now it’s another 60 days for the 23s.

Previous year payment plan
I owed for 2023 and set up a payment plan. The course didn’t explain how to go about adding that money to the 1040X or 4852. Should i just add the extra I paid with the payment plan transcript included in my filing?

Line 16 is for payments made with original return. In my opinion payments on the payment plan should go there.

IRA DISBURSEMENTS PRIOR TO AGE 59 1/2 WITH CODE 1 IN BOX 7 OF THE 1099-R
Are IRA disbursements prior to age 59 1/2 with code 1 in box 7 of the 1099-R to be treated as taxable income and reported on line 4b of the form 1040, regardless of using “Cracking the Code” to reduce your wages to $0? I was not eligible for any exceptions at the time of the disbursement.

No. Were your earnings that went into the retirement fund from “Business or Trade Income? As the course teaches, Under 26 U.S.C. § 3401(a), “wages” means all remuneration for services performed by employee for employer. But “employee” only means federal officers and “employer” only means government agencies.
“Wages” under federal law…
