CTC Tax Education — What It Is and How to Get Started
OVERVIEW
TFP’s Cracking the Code (CTC) Tax Education program teaches members to understand their true standing under the Internal Revenue Code and how to accurately complete their own CTC-educated return.
TFP is an educational organization only. We do not prepare tax returns, we are not tax return preparers, and we do not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice of any kind. We provide curriculum-based education on the CTC method and step-by-step instruction on how to properly complete a CTC-educated return yourself.
Your return is your sworn personal testimony. The CTC curriculum gives you the knowledge to complete it correctly and stand behind it with confidence.
WHAT IS A CTC-EDUCATED TAX RETURN?
Most people file their taxes assuming everything they earn is taxable. The CTC curriculum examines what the law actually says — using the statutory definitions Congress wrote, the Treasury Decisions that interpret them, and Supreme Court rulings that define the boundaries of federal taxation.
A CTC-educated return accurately reflects those definitions as they apply to your specific situation — completed by you, based on your own understanding of the law.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Is a CTC-educated return different from a standard return?
A: Yes. A standard return assumes all earnings are taxable and that withholding was lawfully required. A CTC-educated return applies the statutory definitions Congress actually enacted to determine whether those assumptions hold for your situation.
Q: Is this lawful?
A: Yes. The CTC methodology is grounded in the enacted text of the Internal Revenue Code, binding Treasury Decisions, and Supreme Court rulings. It advocates accurate reporting — not non-filing or tax evasion. The course covers the specific legal authorities in detail.
Q: Does TFP prepare my return for me?
A: No. TFP provides education and step-by-step instruction only. You complete your own return. It is your sworn personal testimony under penalty of perjury and must come from your own understanding of the law.
Q: What will I learn?
- Understand the key statutory definitions that determine your tax standing
- Evaluate whether W-2s and 1099s filed against you are accurate
- Complete Form 4852 to correct inaccurate information returns
- Complete Form 1040 or 1040-X with a proper cover letter
- Build your administrative record and file correctly via certified mail
- Read and respond to IRS notices in writing with confidence
Q: What is Form 4852?
A: Form 4852 is a Substitute for Form W-2. The curriculum teaches you when and how to use it to correct an employer-issued W-2 that does not accurately reflect your statutory standing.
Q: Why does the administrative record matter?
A: Everything you file with the IRS becomes part of your permanent record. The curriculum teaches you how to build and protect that record from the very first filing through certified mail with a return receipt.
Q: What do I need to get started?
- W-2s and/or 1099s from the relevant tax year(s)
- Prior year tax returns, if applicable
- Employer and payor information
Q: How much does the program cost?
A: The CTC Education program is $1,997. Ultimate Freedom and Elite Freedom Members receive the course at no additional cost.
Q: What support is available?
A: General curriculum support is available via email and text. For complex questions or document review, paid consultations are available. All support is educational in nature only. TFP does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice of any kind.
Q: What happens after I file?
A: The IRS may send notices requesting clarification. This is normal and does not mean your position is incorrect. The CTC curriculum teaches you how to respond in writing — respectfully, precisely, and with full statutory authority.
